This meeting was held along with all the heads of all the departments in the art festival focusing on three things: finalizing the theme, finalizing the venue and finalizing whether or not we should be merging with the music festival. We agreed that we will have the theme of 'fantasy', as it would allow the decorations team to be more creative and go out-of-the-box. We also agreed that we would use Binus Simprug as our venue for reasons such as: easier to control, back up is available, no transport time, it is flexible to us and it would be cheaper than any other venue. Finally, we also agreed that we would not merge with the music festival due to some reasons that are: it would be more costly, venue would have to be according to them and it would be less flexible to us. It was a great meeting and with self initiative and concentration, we were able to quickly get decisions done after loads of discussions and counter arguments. What i realized was, that it is impossible to satisfy each and every one. There will always be some who are for and against. I also learned that everyone has many different points and it may be hard to communicate with everyone at the same time in order to get to the same understanding. But i learned that discussing things and having it written down really helps. So next time, when i have the need to convey something to people, whether they will like it or not, it is important to put it on paper. That way, it would be more legit and serious. I am also glad that if you are given an opportunity, when i give an opportunity to others, people will always be open and self initiated to talk as well.
